FAQ

Question:

Does the 4our Paw come with rim and tire, or is the belt designed to wrap around my existing ATV/ UTV tire?

Answer:

The 4our Paw is sold as a kit. Rim, tire, and belting are included in each 4our Paw kit, as the tire is a 6 ply, high pressure tire designed to "self tension" the belt around the tire upon inflation. The 4our Paw is shipped assembled with tire deflated. After installation to your vehicle hub, you inflate the internal tire to 20 - 30 psi to tension, and seat the tire inside the belt.

Question:

Is the 4our Paw an adequate alternative to a full track system when primarily traveling in new, of fresh snow?

Answer:

No. The 4our Paw is a decathlete, offering a well rounded, 4 season alternative upgrade for your ATV/ UTV. If your primary application for a track system is to traverse deep snow, you will need to look into systems displacing the vehicles weight over a surface. Typically, this requires a full belt application. Both 4ORCE Full Track Utility Grouser, and Agriculture Belt (Flat Belt) are adequate snow travel systems, and still offer stable, 4 season use for your ATV/ UTV.

Question:

Do 4orce Track Products affect my vehicles speed, or power?

Answer:

Very little, if at all! 4orce Track Products DO add weight to your existing platform, BUT do not change your vehicles drive wheel diameters. The result is a loss of about 1 MPH (on average) as your added weight will affect total MPH as a whole. The diameter of both the 4our Paw, or full track system remains the same allowing your vehicle to maintain both its speed, and power.

Question:

Are 4orce Track Products hard on my ATV/ UTV platform?

Answer:

As an installation, 4orce Track Products are not hard on your vehicle, and add a substantial degree of stability. With this, your vehicle is 3X more capable than at its factory set-up, allowing you to do more work in more critical environments. These applications lend themselves to a higher degree of wear and tear to your vehicle, but this is not the direct result of 4orce Track Products installed. What you choose to do with your 4orce equipped vehicle is up to you!

Question:

Will 4orce Products fit my vehicle?

Answer:

4orce Products fit to any vehicle. Some vehicles DO REQUIRE moderate modification for clearances as our belting is 12" at the front, and 15" at the rear in width. This modification is typically in the form of spacer's, or slight fender cutting. Manufacturers are changing platforms every year, so we make every effort to keep up with new designs ensuring 4orce products work for our customers.

Answer:

Question:

What powers the rear wheels, or are the wheels chain + sprocket driven?

Answer:

The rear drive wheels are powered by the track belting only on a level IV system. The system is friction driven off the ATV drive tires.

Question:

Can I wrap your track belting around the rear end of my Polaris 6 X 6.

Answer:

No. Our track belting and guide system is specific not only to our provided rim/ tire, but also to our tension device. The tension device tension, and aligns the track throughout changing terrain, and payload types. If you would like a solution for your Polaris 6 X 6, we offer the 4our Paw in a discounted 6 paw configuration, and can be found as a drop-down upgrade option on the 26" Utility Grouser Paw page of the 4orcestore.com website.
